Epic Song Intros

I was enjoying a rare Monday morning where my inbox was not overflowing, my workload seemed very manageable, my first cup of coffee was hitting just right, and everything seemed pretty okay, and then BAM! “Self Esteem” by Offspring came on the radio (wtf XPN?) and my chipper mood was severely darkened. Is it the most annoying song intro ever? You would be hard-pressed to convince me otherwise.

Luckily, the DJ realized her misstep and followed it up with the “Cherry-Coloured Funk” by Cocteau Twins, a shoegaze classic that quickly swung the mood of the grumpiest old man on earth.

After my second cup of coffee, I decided not to be a Negative Ned and waste my lunch time researching the worst song intros ever, and instead, I decided to share some of the best. As you might expect, I had two stellar playlists already created. Hopefully, they will make your Monday a little better.
